A relaxed breakfast among flowers, and a café that opens at 8:00 am. With opening hours, what to order and how to get there.
If you are looking for breakfast in Mojácar, these are the two places I would pick. Both are in Mojácar Playa and they could not be more different: one is a florist with a café where you can have breakfast or brunch surrounded by flowers, and the other is a café and ice-cream parlour on the Paseo del Mediterráneo that opens at 8:00 am and does not close until 11:30 pm.
In Spain breakfast (desayuno) is usually coffee with toast or a pastry, while brunch is the later, bigger version. You will find both below, with what each place offers, who it suits best and how to get there. Opening hours, ratings and distances are from Google Maps, October 2026.
Two very different ways to start the day before the beach.

A florist with a café in the shopping centre of Mojácar Playa. Toast (salmon and avocado, figs, ham with rocket), specialty coffee and brunch throughout its opening hours, plus cakes and pastries. It is a small place, best enjoyed without rushing. Monday to Saturday 9:00 am to 4:00 pm; closed on Sundays and it does not take bookings.

At Paseo del Mediterráneo, 249. Reviews keep mentioning the coffee, sandwiches, bocadillos and toast, the cakes (especially the cheesecake and the carrot cake), crepes and ice cream, and the friendly service. It is open every day from 8:00 am to 11:30 pm, so it works for breakfast and also for an afternoon snack. To be fair, one review misses an allergen list for the ice creams, so if you have allergies, ask before ordering.

What comes up most often in the reviews of each place.
The salmon and avocado toast, the fig toast and the ham with rocket are the most talked about. There is also brunch all day, matcha latte, and homemade cakes or pastries if you prefer something sweet.
Café con leche, cortado and cappuccino show up a lot in the photos and reviews, and so do the toast and sandwiches. For something sweet, the cheesecake, the carrot cake and the crepes; and if you fancy something cold, ice cream.
For breakfast in Mojácar, the choice depends more on the time and the plan than on the food.
